In a recent email I wrote the following statement:
"A community of people to back your streetwear brand shows that it's something worth being loyal to".
And it got me thinking...
A brand worthy of customer loyalty is one that is good.
That's to say...
The point of cultivating community is not to appear "good".
It's to actually be good!
And when I say good, I mean doing good.
Here's the best part:
YOUR streetwear brand has the opportunity to bring value in the form of a community
and bringing genuine value to the market is doing good.
My point is this:
Cultivating a community behind your streetwear brand isn't simply a market manipulation to make a buck.
Although I believe that brands that act like communities make more money, the point is that we advance the human race in a positive direction.
Even if it's just a little in our 0.00001% of the world.
