I asked ChatGPT to create community-focused Instagram content. Here's what it gave me...
Prompt: You are a streetwear brand that wants to grow a community around the ideology of exploring the outdoors. Give me 15 examples of Instagram content you could post.

- Product Spotlight: Showcase one of your streetwear pieces designed for outdoor activities and explain how it combines style with functionality.
- User-Generated Content (UGC): Share photos from your community members wearing your streetwear while exploring different outdoor locations. Use a branded hashtag to encourage more submissions.
- Outdoor Style Inspiration: Create a collage or carousel post featuring different outfit ideas that seamlessly blend streetwear with outdoor gear for a trendy and practical look.
- Behind-the-Scenes: Take your followers on a virtual journey by sharing behind-the-scenes glimpses of your design process, manufacturing, or photoshoots in natural settings.

- Flashback Friday: Share throwback photos or videos of your brand's journey, from the early days to present, reflecting on the growth and evolution of your outdoor-focused ideology.
- Q&A with Outdoor Experts: Host a live Q&A session or create IGTV videos featuring interviews with outdoor enthusiasts, experts, or athletes, discussing the intersection of streetwear and outdoor lifestyles.
Here is my take away:
Some of these suggestions are a bit corny.
Others are dated cliches that we can all agree, wouldn't work.
But there are two I particularly like.
Namely, No. 8 - Weekly Challenge.
I see this being a genuine way to move the community into the real world in a way that they care about. In effect, when this individual meets other like minded outdoor explores, the probability of stronger connection and loyalty to the brand is dramatically increased. I mean, now they got skin in the game! It's not to say they're trapped, but they are certainly less likely to leave.
And the second being lucky last... No. 15 - Q&A with Outdoor Experts
If done well, this could be gold. There are already entire TV shows, YouTube channels, and one off videos with 'outdoor experts'. I don't see why these media outlets couldn't already be streetwear brands in disguise. My point is that this provides value directly to the people this streetwear brand is selling to. Also, virality potential is much higher than studio shoots and look books.
Test concluded (for now)...
I am excited to continue testing this tool in the coming days to see what it can do for streetwear folks like you.
I encourage you to do the same ;)
Please send me an email and share some of your own experiments! I'd love to have a look at them in a future email.
Truly,
Elijah
