It's usually the small things that make the largest difference

The 80/20 principle suggests that 80% of the results come from 20% of the effort.

For this reason, I like the 80/20 principle.

It allows us to do more in less time

or make more money with a lesser investment.

It's all about where the resources are put.

Here's the truth:

Writing letters to customers is a simple thing.

  1. A shopify order comes through.
  2. You handwrite the name from the order on top of paper square.
  3. You handwrite a short thank you note.
  4. You sign it off.
  5. You place it in the package.

Yes, it takes a little extra time and effort.

But it's small efforts of personalisation that could 1.5x or 2x the average lifetime customer value,

simply because you showed up and care.

See if this helps:

Take advantage of the leverage you have as a smaller brand with less orders than some of your competitors

and start hand-writing up some letters.
