Take StreetX, for example:
Some come for the brand's well designed garments.
But most (at least the customers that matter) come because of the founder's persona.
Daniel Bradshaw has inspired a passion in the hearts of his audience for StreetX with his personal brand,
so much so that someone even got Dan's face tattooed on their body.
Don't believe me?
My point is this:
The reason one becomes loyal to a brand goes beyond the garment.
In fact, it has very little to do with your clothing product at all.
One way to drive loyalty is, like Daniel, through a personal brand.
And the reason it works is because people buy the idea, message, lifestyle, ethos, community.
....There are a 1001 names for it.
But a personal brand is only one way of many.
