Picture this:
Michael has a streetwear brand with two objectives.
1. Minimising environmental impact
2. Delivering a good product experience to his customer
To do so, he decided to sell 500GSM, 100% australian made hoodies.
In other words, really high quality.
Here's the thing:
Although Michael's product holds value,
His brand is unrecognisable.
Thus, he is without a customer willing to pay the high prices for his garments
Michael is forced to settle for less just to put food on the table.
Michael instead finds a 280GSM material shipped from bangladesh he can sell for less.
He hopes it'll generate more sales...
Environmental impact is maximised
Customers are unhappy with the low quality of the garment
And his 2 objectives are left unfulfilled.
His brand is no more recognisable than before.
My point of this:
High value customers don't only make your streetwear brand wildly profitable.
They also infuse the market with value.
Brands with strong brand image can sell garments for more.
Garments sold for more can be made with higher quality materials.
Higher quality materials reduce environmental impact
And discourages a fast fashion model.
EVERYONE WINS
And simply buy cultivating high value customers...
Michael fulfills his objectives, his customers feel valued, and his streetwear brand is wildly profitable in the process.
Truly,
Elijah
