A Foreigner in a Foreign Land

All you need is for your customer to say "home sweet home".

It can be intimidating going someplace new.

It's a feeling known by all human beings.

Being alone at a party.

Traveling to a distant country with a language you cannot speak.

Being the latest addition to a friend group of decades.

Intimidation is amplified when it appears as though everyone one else is already comfortable, already integrated, and already accepted.

But you are not.

You can't even say you have being foreigners in common!

Here's the thing:

The last thing you want

is for your customer to reach your page

and feel like a foreigner

in a foreign land

My point is this:

It's hard to relate with a product.

Using Instagram as a store page can make it feel a little like a foreign place to observers.

On the other hand, we can relate to identity.

See if this helps:

Use Instagram to talk about the common identity behind your clothing instead of the clothing itself.

Because when the right person comes along

(because they will)

they will find relatability in that identity

and feel right at home.

So much so, in fact

that they may even say

"home sweet home".

Truly,

Elijah
