Take Jorts, for example.
The widely popular half-length jean-short.
Every brand and their dog has a jort product available.
How can they all sell the same product?
Let's continue the thought...
Why would a customer buy one brand's jorts over another?
Is it because some make it better than others?
I'm sure some do make it better than others.
However, I don't think that quality is the motivating factor.
....It gets to the point where we are comparing good with.., "Gooder?"
The truth is this:
100 brands can sell the same product because it really isn't about the product.
It's about the brand.
Some like the their Jorts with a Nike logo.
Others like theirs with a Supreme logo.
My point is this:
You can sell a product.
But what they're really buying is the brand.
Truly,
Elijah
